Talking History

The excellent "Talking History" on Newstalk on sunday nights is always worth a listen. This Podcast is especially for the Leaving Cert Exam, although it deals with the Northern Ireland Document Study which is slightly out of date. Once you have opened the podcast player though, browse around, have a look at the entire podcast archive. There is some great material there (Especially for Senior students wondering what to do for their RSR).

The History Show

Also worth a look, though not quite as user friendly as the Newstalk player is the archive of  the imaginatively titled "The History Show" from RTE.
Diarmaid Ferriter is the latest host and there are some really good older shows, particularly on Irish history.

In Our Time

By far the most engrossing and in-depth collection of history podcasts is over at the BBC with the wonderful "In Our Time" series. If you're a history buff these are really addictive, there are also sections on philosophy and science for those with broad interests!

Wexford Oral History

For a more local perspective the Wexford Oral history programme has been recording local people and their memories of Wexford.
There's also a seminar on the 1911 Wexford lockout which took place to mark the 100th anniversary in 2011.
